The leaves are changing, sweater season is upon us and everything smells like pumpkin spice.
It must mean that Autumn has arrived!
I love that the air gets crisp, the sky just looks deep and beautiful especially during the sunsets and everything just seems to slow down a little bit.
With the leaves changing color it always reminds me that even change can be beautiful.
While for a lot of people a new season can be exciting for other it can be hard to transition from Summer to Fall.
But don’t worry, I’m sharing 7 ways to mindfully transition from Summer to Fall in order to have the best Fall season.
- Journal
- As we enter Fall it’s a perfect time to reflect on how you envision the end of the year to go. A time to revisit the intentions that have been previously set.
- While it’s also great to journal about the future and your goals, it can also be nice to reflect on all of the good memories that you experienced in summer.
- Create a Fall Bucket List
- What better way to get excited about a new season than writing out all of the fun things you can do!
- Not sure where to get started? Feel free to use these ideas to start.
- Going to the apple orchard
- Watching a scary movie
- Making a new meal using fall produce
- Hiking outside to see the leaves changing
- Carving pumpkins
- Going to a haunted house
- Make a Vision Board for Fall
- This can be great to do with or after you journal about how you envision the rest of your year to go. Once you have it outlined on paper it’s time to take another step to bring it to life.
- A lot of people only stick to creating a vision board once a year but I feel as the seasons change so can our goals and dreams. Maybe you’ve been aligned in a different path and want to see that vision come to life.
- You can also add your fall bucket list items to this vision board as well!
- Refresh and Organize your Home
- A new season is a great time to do some deep cleaning in your house.
- Having a fresh and clean space for you to go can really add a calming effect to your days.
- Bring out some of the fall decor, cozy blankets and fall scented candles.
- Find a New Routine
- As the seasons change so do our daily routines which is perfectly fine.
- Embrace the new routine that will work for you. Maybe it’s back to work as normal or dropping kids off at school. Take time to go through your calendar to see how the weeks will now start to look. Be sure to schedule what matters to you most too!
- Try New Foods
- Fall is my favorite time for fresh new produce in season!
- All the pumpkins, butternut squash and brussel sprouts are my top go to’s this season.
- Here are some of my favorite recipes that use these ingredients:
- Start new Movements + Exercises
- As the weather starts to get cooler it can be a great time to head indoors and get a workout in.
- Maybe try something new like a spin class or Pilates workout.
- Embrace taking fall hikes on the weekends to see the beauty of all of the leaves changing around you.
Final Thoughts
Fall can be a great time to refocus on your goals, become rejuvenated and just take some time to slow down. Remember these new seasons are a reminder that everything in our lives can change and we must also be flexible to embrace them in order to experience all the magic!
