We’ve all had those days where you just feel BLAH. Am I right? Maybe it’s raining outside so it’s already not helping your mood. Or you woke up late and are rushing into work. The dog got out and you’ve been chasing him all over the city. You’re completely drained and it’s only 7:00 A.M. The list goes on and on as to how things deteriorate our moods. Why don’t we hear more ways on how to start out day fueled with passion instead of dread?
Let me share with you the ways that fuel my day with passion and help me into the right mindset for a successful day!
- A moment of Gratitude.
- We are constantly on the go that we don’t take a second to note the things we are grateful for. When you wake up tomorrow, while you’re waiting for your coffee to brew. Just stop for one moment, close your eyes, take a deep breath in. While you’re still think of one thing you’re grateful for in your life. This could be something from yesterday, something that is happening today, even just grateful to hear the birds chirping outside!
- I know we’re all grateful for our family and friends, but try and go a bit deeper than that.
- Read Personal Development for 15 minutes or Listen to a Podcast
- If you’re used to listening to the news in the morning let’s face it, it’s not always the most positive information.
- Apple Podcast has SO many options that can fuel your mind. Here are my top 3
- Goal Diggers by Jenna Kutcher
- The Brendon Show by Brendon Burchard
- Earn Your Happy by Lori Harder
- If you’re also like me and love to get out a pen and highlighter to mark your favorite spots in a book here are my top 3 personal development books:
- The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson
- You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero
- Everything is Figureoutable by Marie Forleo
- Step outside and get some sunlight!
- Not only does the sunlight boost our mood it also aids in getting you Vitamin D which can help reduce fatigue.
- Seeing the sunlight helps regulate our circadian rhythms as well. When we see the sun at the same time each day it helps reduce our melatonin production to keep us alert and awake. This also will help us get ready for bed and fall asleep quicker when the darkness comes as our melatonin levels will be back to where they should be.
3 simple shifts right!? I’ve included a worksheet so you can track the days that you’ve completed these shifts. I’ve also left some space on the bottom for reflection. Keep notes on things that you saw and felt an improvement on. Be sure to take inventory on what you could improve for the next week.
Start your morning off on the right foot here!
Give these 3 mindset shifts a try for 7 days and reply back to me and let me know how they have affected your day! Did it help you figure out how to start your day fueled with passion?
