The longer days, warmer temps, and brighter sunshine -the perfect combination for positive vibes all day. Summer not only improves our moods, but it’s a great time to improve our diets and implement stronger fitness routines. Let me show you how you can thrive this summer with my simple wellness tips!
My Summer Wellness Tips
- Stay Hydrated
- Being hydrated is super important at any time throughout the year, but we have to be even more conscious about it in the summer months.
- A good rule of thumb is to drink ½ your bodyweight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 125 lbs you should aim for 62.5 oz of water a day.
- Try this Spa Water that will have you coming back to refill your glass all day!
- Build A Workout Routine
- With longer days you have more time to get in a workout! I personally would advise you to stick to the morning time for this. It’s not as hot and if you have a busy day ahead of you then this is done and out of the way and you don’t have to worry about it.
- Gyms are less busy during summertime and offer better deals. If the gyms intimidate you this could be a perfect time to start! Think the complete opposite from January 1st.
- Try at home workouts that you can do in your cool basement or a Yoga class outside.
- Increase your Fruit and Vegetables
- Eat the rainbow!
- Not only does adding colorful fruits and veggies to your meals look beautiful on the plate, it will also start to crowd out the more processed foods our bodies don’t need.

- Make Time for Relaxation
- Make sure you’re still taking time to recharge each day in order to allow you to still enjoy summer without feeling burnt out!
- Ten Ways to Relax:
- Meditation
- Yoga
- Meditation Coloring Book
- Journaling
- Massage
- Unplug from your devices for an hour,
- Walk in nature
- Manicure or pedicure
- Enjoy a cup of tea on your porch or balcony
- Burn a naturally scented candle
- Try and incorporate one this week for even just 15 minutes a day
- Stick to a Morning Routine
- A morning routine can be a game changer. It sets the mood for your entire day!
